The not heated Smart load module for LED (replacing standard load resistor)

When replacing an incandescent bulb in a turn signal with an LED, a number of problems arise.

The first problem is over flashing. The frequency of the turn signal indication is increased. To solve this problem, the standard blinker relays would typically be replaced with specialized relays that correspond with the specific number and power of the LEDs.

The second problem is error generation from the on-board computer while it tests the turn indicator operations. This is caused by the lower power consumption of LEDs. To correct the operation, the user has to simulate a load equal to the load of incandescent bulbs. Usually for this purpose, LED load resistors, dummy resistors or LED load controllers would be used.

These resistor-based solutions have several serious disadvantages:

Inability of the on-board computer to detect LED indicator failures due to the use of load resistors.

Another disadvantage is overheating of the load resistors, which in many cases requires an alternative solution, such as the installation of powerful radiators on the body of the vehicle.

Electronic smart module for load simulation and failure control of LED indicators.

Our smart module for LED indicators was developed through many years of experience supplying electronic devices to manufacturers and users of vehicles, buses, coaches and trucks.

Development was carried out in close collaboration with a major manufacturer of buses, taking into account the shortcomings of existing solutions on the market.

Features:

  • Fixes error messages caused by the on-board computer after replacing incandescent light bulbs with LEDs
  • Prevents hyper flashing of turning signals
  • The computer will properly detect LED functionality
  • Smart module is not heated(Unlike existing load devices) and does not require additional cooling equipment
  • There is a two-channel(two-way) module for replacing the right and left turn signal of a car and a 4-channel module (for buses and trucks)
  • Reduces the likelihood of vehicle battery discharge when lights are left on(Unlike existing load devices)
  • Lower energy consumption
  • Compact, lightweight and easy to install

Not Heated Smart Load Module Features

Electronic Simulation: Instead of using a passive resistor that generates heat, a smart load module uses sophisticated electronic circuitry to simulate the current draw without excessive heat dissipation.

Direct Replacement: It replaces the standard dummy resistor in automotive or similar applications, making LED upgrades simple and compatible with onboard computers that monitor bulb health.

Heat Management: Unlike standard resistors, the smart module stays cool during operation, removing the risk of melting or fire hazards near flammable materials.

Error Correction: It prevents dashboard errors and hyper flashing by ensuring the vehicle’s computer registers the expected load from the lighting circuit.
